This role would suit an intermediate or senior-level mechanical design or project engineer with experience in designing and overseeing the commissioning of complex building services projects.
The company we represent works as technical advocates for their clients' projects-almost technical lawyers, if you will.
This role would see you acting as the client representative on a project, helping them develop a scope of work at the concept stage through design management, review and peer review, construction supervision, commissioning, technology strategy, and ongoing operations/management.
Your client's problem would become your own, and you would be a vital part of the project team.
Your project exposure would be a mix of new builds (60%) and existing buildings (40%) and include specialist research, laboratory and pharmaceutical facilities, as well as health, defence and mission crucial.
You'd be joining a small and fast-growing consultancy (20 nationally-6 in Sydney) with plans for expansion over the next 12 months.
You'll have the opportunity to take complete ownership over your projects and clients and deliver them in a way that is best for your client (go crazy!). You'll see projects through from start to finish, seeing your hard work come to life, and develop your skills across the entire project lifecycle, both technically and commercially.
These guys believe in work life balance so you won't be expected to regularly work overtime, however, due to the nature of their project involvement, they'd prefer their team to be in the office as much as possible!
